Jr. High Fun Day

by Dana Philpott

May 14, 2010

The Jr. High students who weren't in track, spent a day volunteering around the community. At the high school they picked up litter on the school grounds, weeded the flower bed, and cleaned under the bleachers. Another group weeded the flower bed at the recycling center. They picked up litter in several drainage areas around town and around the lake. They ate lunch at the lake and played. After lunch they went to the Good Samaritan where they played dominos, Uno, Wii, and put puzzles together with the residents. The residents taught the students how to play dominos and the students taught the residents how to play Uno.The Good Samaritan treated the students to ice cream before they left. Everyone had a great day!
