Atwood FFA Food Drive
December 21, 2006
The Atwood FFA finished their food drive this past week. We would like to thank all of the people in town for supporting the chapter efforts with the food drive. It is your generosity that makes this possible for everyone involved.
On December 7th the FFA members delivered plastic bags to each house in town asking for donations for the food bank. They then returned on December 14th to pick up all the goodies the generous people of Atwood left for them. This was one of the most successful food drives yet. The members were able to collect an entire pickup load of food for the food bank. All the food was then sorted into various vegetables, cake mixes, macaroni, etc and delivered to the food bank on the 15th.
The Agricultural Leadership class packed the boxes and delivered them to the less fortunate on the 18th of December. This is a great opportunity for the members to demonstrate servant leadership and help others in the county. We would also like to thank Mr. Begley for his help while at the Food bank this year.
